Private by default
LOOKUP is operated by Blooms AI technologies LLC. This policy explains the iPhone app and its public news, library and support website. LOOKUP has no user account, public feed, advertising SDK or journal-sync service. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.
Your personal space
Your name, optional birthday and gender, settings, gratitude entries, private photos, smile notes and manually entered locations are stored in LOOKUP’s protected storage on your device. They are not sent to our news service or a language model. LOOKUP does not request GPS access, analyze your face or record audio. If you use Apple keyboard dictation, Apple handles that feature under your device settings and Apple’s policies.
Device backups and exports
Your device backup may include LOOKUP’s local records, depending on your Apple and device settings. Photos are added to your system photo library only when you choose Save to Photos. Export creates files you can share using Apple’s share sheet. A recipient or destination you choose handles those copies under its own practices. LOOKUP cleans up the temporary files it prepares after export or cancellation. Exported copies and earlier device backups are not erased by deleting data inside LOOKUP.
Shared good news and messages
When LOOKUP retrieves a shared news edition or an updated editorial library, its request does not contain your name, birthday, gender, journal, photo, location note or a LOOKUP account identifier. The same public edition is delivered to readers. Our cloud providers process ordinary connection information such as IP address, request time, route, user agent and response status to deliver and protect the service. Technical logs may be retained under the providers’ operational and security retention settings. We do not use those logs to personalize greetings, identify journal authors or build advertising profiles.
News research
Our server may use OpenRouter and an approved model/search provider to research public news sources and prepare short shared editions. Research requests use public topics and source material, never your personal records. News summaries can contain errors; each edition provides its publisher, publication date and source link. Following a link connects you to the publisher, whose own privacy and cookie practices apply.
Purchases and reminders
Apple processes subscription payments and provides verified StoreKit transaction information to the app so it can check access. LOOKUP does not receive your card details, and our news database does not store reader purchase receipts. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device after you opt in. LOOKUP does not upload a push token or run a remote push-notification service.
Support and service providers
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include so we can respond. We retain support correspondence while needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations, then delete it when no longer needed. Cloud hosting and shared-news storage use Vercel and Supabase; public-news research may use OpenRouter and its selected provider. Support email is handled by our email provider. These providers may process information in countries other than yours, under their applicable privacy and security terms.
Your choices and deletion
You can change optional profile fields, theme, greetings and reminder settings. You can export or delete journal pages and photos, and use Settings → Delete all personal data to remove LOOKUP’s local personal records. Your Apple subscription is managed separately and is not canceled by deleting the app or its local data. After deletion, the app retains only a current-day photo-submission marker until the day changes, so a deleted photo does not restore the one-photo-per-day allowance. For privacy questions or requests about support correspondence, contact hello@bloomstech.online. We cannot retrieve local journal entries or photos from our server.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when the service’s practices change. Effective date: October 14, 2026. Contact Blooms AI technologies LLC at hello@bloomstech.online.
